The abortion issue, more than any other perhaps, illustrates that while government has an important role in our lives, the most important decisions and actions we make in life are done free of government interference. The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin encourages activists on either side of this debate to work outside the political realm to reduce the number of unplanned pregnancies in their communities. If activists choose to work within the political realm to achieve their goals, the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin would like to remind them that personal freedom and personal responsibility go hand in hand.

Permit people to use medical marijuana and raw milk to reduce health problems and reduce costs. Encourage employment by legalizing industrial hemp, eliminating corporate income taxes, and the minimum wage. Reassert sovereignty over our state Guard; require a vote on deployments, except in cases of emergency. No funding required. These priorities would save money.
